Title 1 is the largest federal aid program for our nation’s schools and has been funded by the United States government since 1965 to provide supplemental remedial services to students living in target areas and needing assistance in reading and/or mathematics. The Acushnet Elementary School is a Title 1 School. Title 1 at the Acushnet Elementary School services children in Grades 1 and 2. It provides help within the classroom in reading and writing for students identified by their teachers as needing extra help. For more information call
