Sandy Soderstrom, Title I

Title I Part A provides federal dollars for supplemental educational opportunities for disadvantaged children who are most at risk of failing to meet the State's challenging content and performance standards. The Acushnet Elementary School is a Targeted Assistance Title 1 School. Title 1 teachers at the Acushnet Elementary School service children in Grades 1-4, providing help within the classroom in reading and writing for students identified by their teachers as needing extra help.
