Nondiscrimination & Harassment
The Acushnet Public Schools has a commitment to maintaining an educational environment where bigotry and intolerance, including discrimination such as harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or age, are not tolerated. Discrimination, including harassment, is contrary to the mission of the Acushnet Public Schools and its commitment to equal opportunity in education.
Parent Advisory Council
The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meets four times during the school year, to review special education regulations and discuss areas of interest and concern to the parents. PAC meetings alternate between Fairhaven and Acushnet. At each meeting there is a guest speaker or a video that many parents find informative. The PAC also maintains a library that is housed at the Acushnet Elementary School. There are several books and videos on different disabilities and issues. It is available to parents and teachers.

Everyone is welcome to find out more about the P.A.C. Come and meet the Acushnet/Fairhaven Special Education Parent Advisory Council (P.A.C.) and learn more about your child’s right to a good education and the services he/she may be entitled to.
