Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment

The Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment (C.I.A.) has administrative responsibility for organizing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the total curriculum and instructional program, kindergarten through grade eight. Particular emphasis is on the alignment of curriculum and learning between the elementary school, middle school and preparation for high school.

Angela Ruggeri is the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment at the Acushnet Public Schools.  Prior to this role, Ms. Ruggeri was an Assistant Principal at the Ford Middle School in Acushnet and spent the majority of her teaching and administrative career with the  Greenfield Public Schools. 

As the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, Angela has led teachers and administrators through the collaborative process of selecting and implementing rigorous, aligned curriculum in all subject areas.  In 2022, the Acushnet Elementary school was one of two schools in the state and 55 schools nationwide to receive a National Title I Distinguished Schools Award.

Angela has taught at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.  She received her bachelors, masters, and CAGS from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
