Origami Presentation

Ms. Macolini invited Michael Lafosse to AES on February 16th to make origami creations wiht the fourth graders. La Fosse's work has been exhibited in museums throughout the world, including the Louvre in Paris. He taught students how to fold two origami projects, a geometric puzzle that uses three same-size squares, and a representational project using only one square (origami fox, owl, sailboat.) Origami is an platform for students to refresh their math thinking in a practical way. Students had a great time! Check out the photos below!
