Please fill out this form if you would like the opportunity to try out for the Flag Football Team at Ford Middle School. This season, our school will form one team that plays home and away games. We will be a part of the New Bedford Middle School League, which includes regular season games and a championship game for the top two teams.
Our team will be able to hold a maximum of 18 players. You can try out to be Quarterback, Wide Receiver, Running Back, or Linemen. These 18 players will need to be passing all of their classes to be eligible for practices and games. Behavior referrals can also subject a student to be suspended for games and/or removed from the team. More eligibility details will be shared with the families of the players who make the team.
The games will take place in May and early June. The schedule of games will be released soon. Try outs will be held after school at the Ford Middle School Field with Coach St. Jean on April 23rd until 4:30PM. If you make the team, practices will begin soon after to prepare for the first game. Practices will go until 4:30 pm and games will go until around 4:30pm-5:00pm. Students who make the team are expected to be present at all practices and games throughout the season.
