Our holiday sing-along was a wonderful celebration of music, community, and holiday spirit! A huge shout-out to our 4th graders and Ms. Dupre, whose hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice truly shone. The performance was engaging, joyful, and energetic from start to finish.
One of the most special parts of the event was seeing families join in, singing along, and sharing in the fun with our students. It was a beautiful reminder of how music brings people together and creates lasting memories.

Our preschoolers had a wonderful time welcoming their families into the classroom to create gingerbread houses together. On Day 67 of school, our staff had a little undercover fun! For 6–7 day, staff wore shirts connected to the popular “6–7” theme — without saying a word — and students were thrilled trying to figure out what was going on.

Our Kindergarten team wrapped up their annual pajama drive—a beloved AES tradition that pairs with Scholastic Books, who donates a brand-new book for every pair of pajamas collected! 📚✨
To celebrate the success of the drive, our Kindergarteners enjoyed a cozy Pajama Day with their amazing 5th-grade reading buddies, along with special guest readers from across our community. It was wonderful to see students sharing stories together and building connections through the joy of reading! 🧸💤

At our most recent whole-school assembly, our Wildcats learned all about November’s PBIS character trait: Cooperation! Students who were nominated by their teachers for showing outstanding cooperation were celebrated on stage and received a special gift for their efforts. We are so proud of them! 👏✨
To make the day even more exciting, the entire school enjoyed the principals’ Fun Run surprise for surpassing our fundraising goal of $30,000! 🎉 Mrs. Chesney and Ms. Pasetto led everyone in a school-wide dance to the Cupid Shuffle—and our Wildcats did not disappoint! The cafeteria was full of singing, dancing, and smiles from wall to wall.

We are excited to announce that our 2nd Annual Jingle Jog will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025 during each grade level’s specialty time! This fun and festive event encourages healthy movement while celebrating the holiday season. Students will be given jingle bells to wear as they jog around the circular drive near Little Toy—get ready for some cheerful jingling!

In the spirit of giving, our Preschool will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots. If you’re able, please consider donating an unwrapped toy by December 11th. Donation bins will be available at school and at the Jingle Jog.
🎁 Event Reminders:
• Please wear sneakers.
• Students will be provided with bells for the jog (they may bring their own if they wish!).
• Festive hats and holiday attire are encouraged.
• The Jingle Jog will move indoors if there is extreme inclement weather.

A big thank you to PJ Keating for being such a wonderful community partner to our Acushnet students! Today’s presentation, “Rocks Build Our World,” taught our 4th grade Wildcats all about aggregates — the rocks and minerals that help build the world around us.
Students were amazed to learn that aggregates are used to create schools, roads, hospitals, and even everyday items like makeup and sunscreen! It was an engaging, hands-on learning experience that connected science to the real world in such a meaningful way.
