They enjoyed *The Great EGGscape* by Jory John—a tale full of friendship, adventure, and learning to break out of your shell! After reading, students created their colorful egg characters inspired by the book’s hilarious cast. Each egg's personality reminds us of the importance of sticking together and helping our friends. Science fun in pre-school! Our littlest Wildcats tested whether snow feels colder with bare hands or "bear claws" (gloves made of Crisco). They were amazed to discover they could barely feel the cold through their bear claws! This simple experiment helped them learn about hibernation and how winter animals stay warm. Literary critics in the making! Our AES students participated in the 2025 Wildcat Caldecott program, where they weren't just learning about award-winning picture books - they cast their own votes! After exploring beautiful illustrations and engaging stories from this year's Caldecott finalists, including "Millie" and "Roar, Choo!", students thoughtfully evaluated each book and submitted their ballots.
