Our Wildcats had a fantastic time at the Acushnet PTO Halloween Party! Students came dressed in their favorite costumes and enjoyed an evening filled with face painting, music, games, candy, and lots of Halloween fun! 🍬🎶🎨
A huge thank you to our amazing Acushnet PTO and all the volunteers who helped make this special event possible! It was wonderful to see so many of our Wildcat families come together for a fun-filled evening! 💙🎃

🌈 Preschool Friendships & Learning! 🐾
Our preschoolers started the year with the story Our Classroom Is a Family and learned that their classroom is a place where everyone belongs! Students made special friendship bracelets with beads that looked clear inside but transformed into beautiful rainbow colors in the sunshine—a little reminder of the bright and amazing year ahead! 🌈☀️
Our youngest Wildcats are already busy building friendships through play and developing important fine motor skills as they begin learning to form and write their names. ✏️💙

🏛️ Welcome to the “Me Museum”! 🌟
Students in Mrs. Aviza’s and Mrs. Hamilton’s classes kicked off the year by celebrating what makes each of them unique with a special “Me Museum!”
Each student brought in five items that represented who they are and created notecards explaining why each item was special. Students then transformed their desks into museum exhibits and toured their classmates’ displays! 🖼️
What a creative way to celebrate individuality, build classroom connections, and discover what our Wildcats have in common! 💙🐾

🐾 Our Wildcats Have a Voice! 💙
This year, our Whole School Agreements were created by our students! Each class developed its own Classroom Agreements, and then one student representative from every class came together to share their ideas and discuss what should be important for our entire AES community.
Together, our student representatives helped create agreements that reflect how we want everyone to learn, treat one another, and be part of our school community. Their work will be shared with the entire school at our first PBIS Award Ceremony! 🌟

Get those costumes ready! The PTO-Sponsored AES Halloween Dance is coming on Friday, October 23, from 5:00–6:15 p.m. at AES!

We love sharing good news at AES! Students can be nominated by their teachers for a Good News Call Home Award for something special they have accomplished or demonstrated at school. Award recipients get a trip to the office to receive their certificate and a Smencil, and we make a special call home to share the good news with their family! 📞✏️

🎉 First Day at AES – Part Two! 🐾
Our Wildcats jumped right into an amazing first day of school!
Students were engaged in their classrooms, learning new routines, getting to know their classmates, and beginning to build strong classroom communities. Around the school, there was plenty of excitement as students enjoyed art, music, STEM, lunch, and time together with friends.
From creative projects and hands-on learning to laughter in the cafeteria and smiles in the hallways, our students were already showing what it means to be learning with PRIDE at AES!
What a wonderful way to begin the new school year. We are excited for all the learning, friendships, and memories ahead!

🐾 What a Fantastic First Day at AES! 🎉
The first day of school was a huge success, and our Wildcats were ready to learn, connect, and have fun!
One of the highlights of the day was a special surprise visit from Superintendent Dr. Bailey, who even hopped aboard a school bus for a ride with some of our students!
Throughout the building, students were busy getting settled into their classrooms, meeting their teachers, reconnecting with friends, and getting to know new classmates. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, conversations, and engaged learners as our students began another year of learning with PRIDE.
We are so proud of our Wildcats and can’t wait to see all that this year brings!

Fourth Grade Science Fair at AES!
Our fourth grade students put their research skills on display during this year's Science Fair! Each student selected a specific animal to study and created an informative poster showcasing what they learned. From habitats and adaptations to interesting facts, students became true experts on their chosen animals.
To make the experience even more exciting, some students brought in their animals to share with their classmates—including an axolotl and a leopard gecko!
Kindergarten through third grade students had the opportunity to tour the Science Fair, ask thoughtful questions, and learn from our fourth grade presenters. It was wonderful to see our older Wildcats sharing their knowledge and inspiring curiosity in our younger students.

Third Graders Take on the Math Masters Challenge!

Our third-grade students put their multiplication skills to the test during the annual Math Masters Challenge! Throughout the challenge, students had the opportunity to practice and strengthen their multiplication facts while building confidence, accuracy, and fluency.
