Ms. Corey’s class took on a STEM challenge, “Save Fred”—a teamwork activity where students used only paperclips to get their gummy worm, Fred, safely into his life preserver and back into his boat.
Students had so much fun collaborating, problem-solving, and persevering through the challenge. We are so proud of the creativity and teamwork our Wildcats showed! 💙💛

🐧🌊 Our fourth graders took their learning under the sea during an unforgettable field trip to Mystic Aquarium! From watching the sea lion show to exploring underwater habitats and getting up close with marine life, students had an ocean of fun while making lasting memories with their classmates. 🐠🐬

As part of their adjective unit, students dressed up in costumes, uniforms, or favorite outfits—showing off their creativity while building vocabulary. The twist? As each classmate walked the red carpet, students had to describe them using four unique adjectives. Once a word was used, it couldn’t be repeated—so students stretched their thinking with synonyms and fresh ideas!
What a fabulous way to combine fun, language development, and confidence building!

🌱✂️ What do plants need to grow? Just ask our preschoolers!
Ms. Carvalho’s class has been learning all about what plants need to grow and survive. To bring this science lesson to life, students planted grass seeds and watched their little green friends sprout over time.
To wrap up the unit in a fun and engaging way, students got to give their grass a haircut—practicing their scissor skills while learning about plant care! Hands-on learning at its best! 🌿💚

Ice Cream Day was one of the sweetest stops on our ABC Countdown at Acushnet Elementary! From sprinkle headbands to ice cream cone shirts, students and staff showed up in the coolest, most creative outfits. 🍨✨

Our ABC Countdown continued today with B Day—and our halls were buzzing with black and yellow spirit! 💛🖤
Students showed up in their brightest bee-themed outfits, spreading smiles and positivity as they “buzzed through books” and learning activities. From headbands to hoodies, we saw so much creativity and excitement. These bees were busy in the best way!
